He recently spoke with the CCP minister of national defense regarding peace and stability after China’s activities in the South China Sea.
Secretary Pete Hegseth reported on recent conversations he has had with his Chinese counterpart. He indicated that the relationship between the United States and China is improving.
The defense secretary stated that he and President Trump agree that “the relationship between the United States and China has never been better.”
Secretary Hegseth continued, “Following President Trump’s historic meeting with Chairman Xi in South Korea, I had an equally positive meeting with my counterpart, China’s Minister of National Defense Admiral Dong Jun in Malaysia.”
“The Admiral and I agree that peace, stability, and good relations are the best path for our two great and strong countries,” Secretary Hegseth said, after having another conversation with the Chinese defense minister over the phone. “As President Trump said, his historic ‘G2 meeting’ set the tone for everlasting peace and success for the U.S. and China. The Department of War will do the same — peace through strength, mutual respect, and positive relations.”
The secretary concluded, “Admiral Dong and I also agreed that we should set up military-to-military channels to deconflict and deescalate any problems that arise. We have more meetings on that coming soon. God bless both China and the USA!”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Hegseth to receive God’s wisdom as he oversees the U.S. military.
 - For the Lord to lead President Trump in his role as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Armed Forces.
